About this file

This document is an Insurance Requirements document from the City of Leesburg's Procurement Division, establishing comprehensive insurance guidelines for contractors performing work for the city, specifically related to an Emergency Disaster Debris Removal & Disposal Services contract. The document outlines mandatory insurance coverage requirements for contractors, including detailed specifications for Comprehensive General Liability, Business Automobile Liability, and Workers' Compensation insurance.

The insurance requirements mandate that contractors maintain minimum insurance coverage with insurers rated A.M. Best A: VII or higher, with specific coverage limits including $1,000,000 per occurrence for General Liability and Automobile Liability, and Workers' Compensation coverage with $100,000 employer liability limits. Contractors must provide certificates of insurance naming the City of Leesburg as an additional insured, with policies requiring 30-day cancellation notice. For construction and remodeling projects, contractors must maintain products and completed operations coverage for three years beyond project acceptance. The document emphasizes that these insurance requirements are minimum standards and do not limit the contractor's overall liability to the city.
