About this file

This technical specification outlines requirements for a roof and deck insulation project at a Department of Veterans Affairs medical center. The project requires removing existing roof insulation and installing new polyisocyanurate and gypsum roof board insulation adhered with urethane adhesive. The specification provides material standards, performance requirements, submittal requirements, installation procedures, and warranties. Key products include polyisocyanurate and gypsum roof board insulation, urethane adhesive, and fasteners. Installation must meet thermal and fire resistance standards and follow manufacturer instructions.

A separate solicitation notices a roof replacement project for Building 163 at the Temple, Texas VA Medical Center with a magnitude between $2-5 million. The project is a 100% set-aside for verified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses. Interested contractors must have active verification from the VA's Center for Verification and Evaluation by the time proposals are due in September 2021. The point of contact is provided for any questions.
