H. GEOLOGIC INVESTIGATIONS:
The Geotechnical Engineering Report prepared by FMG Engineering, report No. 190781.00, dated 10/11/2019 is incorporated into these Project Specifications as a requirement for design and construction of this project. The report is included as Appendix A. If a conflict occurs between the Geotechnical Engineering Report and the Project Specifications and or the Project Drawings and or the Construction Standards, the Project Specifications, Project Drawings and Construction Standards shall govern.
The 8000-series geologic logs of subsurface explorations included in the “Drawings” Division constitute the information and records of geologic investigations for the work. Locations of subsurface investigations are shown on the Drawings.
Samples and cores of recovered material were not retained. Bidders shall obtain their own samples and perform tests on the material to evaluate properties, which they believe to be significant. WAPA does not guarantee that the geologic information and records show the conditions that will be encountered in performing the work, but only that the geologic information and records show conditions encountered at the particular point and time the information and records were obtained.
The geologic information may not indicate variations, such as those caused by seasonal fluctuations in rainfall and other factors, which may affect the water level. The Contractor shall determine the nature of material to be excavated, the difficulties of making and maintaining required excavations, and doing other work affected by geology and ground water elevations at the worksite.
