The State of Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (Agency 530) awarded a term contract to The Hertz Corporation for Vehicle Rental Services. The prime contractor, with a principal place of business located at 8501 Williams Road, Estero, Florida, was selected to provide rental vehicle services under Contract 975-C1. This contract award was issued on December 1, 2025, with a cumulative contract value of thirty-eight dollars ($38.32). The specific line item procured under National Institute of Governmental Purchasing (NIGP) Code 97514 consisted of one unit at a unit price of $38.32.

The purchase order, designated PO No. 26206819, was issued by the State of Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts Statewide Procurement Division and is subject to Texas state and city sales tax exemption under Texas Tax Code Section 151.309(4). The contract documentation indicates a completion date of September 15, 2025; however, this date precedes the award date of December 1, 2025, suggesting a potential data entry discrepancy or retroactive documentation. The contract was structured as a term contract vehicle rental agreement for the exclusive use of the State of Texas or a Texas political subdivision, with delivery and billing directed to the contractor's registered address.
