Vehicle Rental Services

The State of Texas, Department of Family and Protective Services (Agency 530), awarded a term contract to The Hertz Corporation for vehicle rental services. The contract was executed on December 10, 2025, with a cumulative value of seventy-six dollars ($76.64). The Hertz Corporation, headquartered at 8501 Williams Road, Estero, Florida, serves as the prime contractor under term contract designation 975-C1. The specific purchase order (PO No. 26205915) reflects a single line item classified under National Institute of Governmental Purchasing (NIGP) Code 97514, with a quantity of one unit at a unit price of $76.64.

The contract documents do not specify a geographic place of performance or identify a particular county. The purchase order is exempt from Texas sales tax as the property is designated for exclusive use by the State of Texas or a Texas political subdivision. A completion date of September 15, 2025, is listed in the contract award record; however, this date precedes the award date of December 10, 2025, suggesting a potential data discrepancy or retroactive authorization. The term contract structure indicates this represents a framework agreement through which the State may place additional orders with The Hertz Corporation for vehicle rental services.
