The Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) Institutional Division has awarded a term contract to The Royal Pacific Tea Company Inc., based in Scottsdale, Arizona, for the procurement of instant, freeze-dried, 100% Colombian coffee. The contract, identified as 26156976, involves the delivery of 4,320 cases of coffee to the Huntsville Commissary Warehouse, with each case containing 24 items of 4.5 ounces. The total contract value is $318,038.40, with a unit price of $73.62 per case, and includes a minimum order requirement of 2,400 cases for Delivery Zone 5 in Huntsville, Texas.

The contract was awarded on January 12, 2026, with an initial delivery date of January 19, 2026, and a specified delivery deadline of February 20, 2026. The purchase order is tax-exempt under Texas Tax Code, Section 151.309(4), as the coffee is being secured for exclusive use by the State of Texas. The contract's completion date is listed as August 31, 2025, which appears to be an administrative or typographical inconsistency with the award and delivery dates. The TDCJ Institutional Division will handle billing and shipping through its Accounts Payable department located in Huntsville, Texas.
