Mideo Imaging Systems Service and Support Plan

The Arizona Department of Public Safety (DPS) has awarded a sole-source contract (CTR079272) to Mideo Systems Inc. for annual maintenance and support services of their proprietary CaseWorks digital imaging system. The contract, valued at approximately $69,783 for the initial year, covers a range of software licenses and services for the DPS Laboratory, including CaseWorks Server and Admin Licenses, Latent Examiner User Licenses, Scientific Analyst Licenses, LIMS Connect Server Module, and Photoshop Workstation Licenses.

The contract period spans from November 6, 2025, to November 6, 2026, with the potential for extensions up to a maximum of five years. The service and support plan encompasses comprehensive software product updates, one virtual software refresher training session, repair or replacement services, and unlimited toll-free phone support during standard business hours. The sole-source justification is predicated on Mideo Systems Inc. being the exclusive manufacturer of the CaseWorks system, which has been integrated into the DPS Laboratory's operations for over 15 years, with third-party maintenance potentially voiding existing agreements and warranties.
