Description
Veterans benefits administration (VBA), corporate communications, stakeholder engagement plan, outreach reporting tool (ORT) | the mission of the VBA, in partnership with the veterans health administration (VHA) and the national cemetery administration (NCA), is to provide benefits and services to veterans and their families in a responsive, timely, and compassionate manner in recognition of their service to the nation. To meet a rapidly growing increase in disability claims, VBA has launched a transformation initiative which is a series of people, process and technology improvements designed to help the department of veterans affairs (VA) achieve the following goals: (1) processing all claims within 125 days with 98% accuracy in 2015; (2) eliminate the claims backlog; and (3) receive and process 70% of claims and associated evidence electronically in the VA new digital operating environment by 2018. As part of this transformation, outreach is a main component and VBA needs a way to measure return on investment for outreach activities inside the continental united states (inconus) and outside of the continental united states (OCONUS). The outreach reporting tool (ORT) is an essential tool to measure effectiveness of outreach and to ensure compliance with U.S.C. 6303. | the ORT is an internet based application and will be used to report outreach activities, as required by U.S.C. 6303. The ORT will be used by VBA regional offices and central office staff at outreach events, inconus and OCONUS transition assistance briefings, to capture outreach and public contact interactions and activities. | the ORT will allow VBA to determine its return on investment at outreach events. The tool has been fully built and is pending further adjustments that will support a fully usable ORT for all internal stakeholders to successfully record and report outreach interactions. This contract will deploy the ORT into a live production environment. |
