Associacio Cultural Per La Difusio Del Cinema Nord-America

Associacio Cultural Per La Difusio Del Cinema Nord-America is an international, non-profit organization registered to receive federal grant awards from the U.S. government since November 21, 2014. This foreign-owned entity specializes in cultural promotion through cinema, specifically focusing on North American films. The organization's primary services to the U.S. federal government involve organizing film festivals and screenings, particularly the Americana Film Festival in Barcelona, and facilitating the distribution of American films in Spain through various American Spaces.

The Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs, a civilian agency of the U.S. government, has consistently awarded project grants to Associacio Cultural Per La Difusio Del Cinema Nord-America over the past three years. These grants have funded the screening rights and subtitling of four films annually for the Americana Film Festival in Barcelona, as well as organizing additional screenings at American Spaces in Barcelona, Valencia, and Cuenca. The organization's work promotes cultural exchange and diversity through cinema, with a specific focus on bringing North American films to Spanish audiences. The grants have supported short-term projects, typically lasting less than a month, aimed at showcasing American cinema and fostering cultural understanding between the United States and Spain.
