About this opportunity
The Finger Lakes Developmental Disabilities Services Office (DDSO), operating under the New York State Office for People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD), is soliciting bids for a bathroom renovation project at the Vienna 545 Intermediate Residential Apartment (IRA) located at 545 Vienna Street, Newark, NY 14513. This is a New York State public works procurement requiring all contractors and subcontractors to comply with prevailing wage requirements as determined by the NYS Department of Labor. The scope of work involves comprehensive bathroom renovation of the second floor bathrooms at the residential facility, though specific technical specifications and deliverables are detailed in the attached Scope of Work documents. A mandatory site visit is scheduled for Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., and all prospective bidders must attend this visit to verify their knowledge of the project area prior to bid submission; bids will not be accepted from vendors who do not attend the site visit or who arrive late. The bid due date is May 29, 2026, and interested contractors should request an Invitation for Bid by submitting company letterhead referencing the location and project title along with current contact information via fax to 585-461-8811 (Attention: Franchesca Sagen) or email to FL.Purchasing@opwdd.ny.gov.
This procurement includes specific restrictions on eligible bidders, as all contractors and subcontractors must register with the New York State Department of Labor (NYSDOL) and provide a valid NYSDOL registration number along with a current Certificate of Registration at the time of bid submission; failure to provide verifiable registration credentials will result in automatic bid disqualification. Bidders are strongly advised to initiate the NYSDOL registration process promptly, as the department estimates approximately 3-4 weeks for application review and certificate issuance. No advance notification to the agency is required for site visit attendance, and prior notification of intent to bid is not mandatory. The procurement documents do not identify any incumbent vendors, current contractors, or specific existing infrastructure requiring integration. No specific award value or budget range is disclosed in the available solicitation materials; interested bidders should contact the Finger Lakes DDSO directly for additional project details and cost information.
