About this opportunity

The South Carolina Department of Public Safety is requesting quotes for statewide monthly pest control services at nine weigh station facilities throughout South Carolina under RFQ with quotes due October 15, 2026 at 10:00 AM EST, and questions due October 1, 2026 at 12:00 PM EST.

The solicitation is organized into six lots by geographic region. Scope includes monthly pest control services (twelve times per year) covering building interiors and surrounding grounds, addressing general pests including ants, flying stinging insects, beetles, roaches, flies, silverfish, earwigs, spiders, gnats, mites, ticks, mice, and rats. Services must include labor, materials, pesticides, bait stations, glue boards, and required tools and equipment. Monthly service schedules must be maintained during regular business hours (9:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, excluding state holidays). Contractors must submit monthly service reports documenting areas serviced and corrective actions taken and respond to emergency service requests by the next business day at no additional charge for pests identified in the contract.

Contractors must hold a valid South Carolina business license, current South Carolina Certified Application License from the Department of Pesticide Regulation, a minimum of seven years of pest control experience, and an actively engaged business office properly equipped and staffed. Prior servicing of comparable accounts is required. All pesticide specimen labels and Safety Data Sheets must be submitted with bids for SCDPS approval. Mandatory compliance with federal, state, and local safety, health, and environmental regulations, including OSHA standards, is required.

The contract has a one-year initial term with four one-year renewal options for a maximum contract life of five years, with an anticipated start date of October 29, 2026. Unit pricing for each line item must be submitted, and pricing must remain fixed for the contract duration. Award will be made to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder for each lot, with potential awards to multiple offerors. Award posting is scheduled for October 19, 2026. Non-mandatory site visits are scheduled at various locations per Attachment A.
