About this opportunity

Upper Providence Township is seeking sealed bids for a comprehensive refuse, recycling, and yard waste collection and disposal contract through PennBid's online platform. The procurement opportunity requires bidders to provide municipal waste management services, with all solicitation documents available online at no cost. A mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled for August 28, 2025, at 10:00 am at the Township Building located at 935 N. Providence Rd., Media, PA 19063. Interested vendors must submit bid security equal to 10% of their proposed bid amount, and all bids are due by September 19, 2025, at 10:00 am, after which they will be opened and publicly posted on PennBid's website. The township reserves the right to reject any or all bids and select the proposal most advantageous to their needs, suggesting a comprehensive evaluation process that likely considers factors such as pricing, service capability, operational efficiency, and local compliance.

While specific set-aside designations or disadvantaged enterprise requirements are not explicitly detailed in the provided documentation, the procurement appears open to qualified waste management service providers. The attached documents, including bid specifications and a collection schedule, suggest potential complexity in service delivery requirements. No incumbent vendor information is provided, and the specific budget range or contract value is not disclosed in the available materials. The contract appears to be a comprehensive municipal waste management service that will likely require sophisticated logistics, appropriate waste collection vehicles, and demonstrated experience in municipal waste handling. Potential bidders should carefully review the attached documents, particularly the bid specifications and collection schedule, to fully understand the scope and expectations of the contract.
