About this file

This document is Addendum #1 for a waste management and collection contract, providing updated details for contractors bidding on the service. The addendum specifies that 96-gallon automated collection containers must be provided for most areas, with exceptions for streets requiring small truck pickup. Yard waste collection will allow residents to dispose of materials in compostable bags, bundles, or 55-gallon trash cans. The contract excludes items containing freon and e-waste, and an updated bid form has been added to Pennbid to enable direct billing to residents.

The addendum indicates that trash and recycling tonnage information was uploaded after the pre-bid meeting, and the municipality is still gathering additional details about rear-yard collection for approximately 25 houses. Contractors are advised to use Google Maps/Earth to determine the number of houses on streets requiring small truck pickup. The document suggests that more specific information may be posted to Pennbid as it becomes available, leaving some logistical details to be clarified during the bidding process.

Addendum # 1

Billing - an updated bid form has been added to Pennbid to allow for contractor billing directly to the residents.

Trash and recycling Tonnage was uploaded right after pre-bid meeting

Items containing freon and E-Waste are not included in this contract

Automated collection – 96 gallon containers must be provided (except for roads where small trucks are used)

Yard Waste- residents have the option of putting yard waste in compostable bags, tied into bundles, or placed in 55 gallon trash cans (not drums)

Small truck pickup – the streets that require small truck pickup are listed in the specs. We do not have a count of the number of houses – suggest using google maps/earth to determine

Rear-yard collection – we are currently looking for the distances from curb to rear yard for those that chose that option – 25 house or so. If we find out that info, we will post to Pennbid.
