About this opportunity
The Oregon Department of Transportation is requesting bids for intermittent overlay paving on Highway 126E, milepost 10.87 through 38.02 in Lane County under the On-Call Region 2 Paving Price Agreement series, with bids due August 5, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. Only existing holders of an On-Call Region 2 Paving Price Agreement are eligible to submit bids.
The scope comprises approximately 5.19 miles of 2-inch asphalt overlay across six work segments with pavement widths of 32 to 34 feet, cold plane pavement removal at 0 to 2 inches depth, placement of 10,785 tons of Level 3 asphalt concrete pavement, 942 tons of aggregate shoulder material, guardrail adjustments (1,000 feet as an allowance), removal and replacement of 673 recessed bi-directional yellow markers, and 85,510 linear feet of hi-build longitudinal marking restoration. The project includes mobilization, temporary traffic control, and pollution control planning. Sixty ACP approaches are to be constructed or modified.
Work must be completed by October 30, 2026. Oregon domestic preference requirements under ORS 279C.303 apply. Prevailing wage rates effective July 5, 2026 for Lane County public works projects are mandatory. Traffic control restrictions prohibit lane closures during commute times (5:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.); no Friday, weekend, or holiday work is permitted on MP10.87–13.06, and the MP13.06–38.02 segment prohibits weekend and holiday work. Portable Changeable Message Signs must be placed at least seven days prior to any ramp or lane closure. Bidders must submit unit prices and total bid prices for all line items; payment is based on actual quantities performed. The ODOT Project Manager is Cody Stone (503-953-6334; Cody.Stone@ODOT.Oregon.gov). The work order becomes effective upon signature by ODOT's Procurement Authority and issuance of a notice to proceed.
