About this opportunity

Los Angeles County Public Works is seeking qualified vendors through a Request for Statement of Qualifications (RFSQ) for an On-Call Vehicle and Equipment Repair and Towing Services Program (BRC0000209). The procurement seeks comprehensive vehicle and equipment repair and towing services across the county, with a potential maximum contract term of seven years, including an initial five-year period and two optional one-year renewals. Interested proposers must submit detailed qualifications demonstrating their capability to provide these services, with all firms required to reapply, including those with existing active contracts. The solicitation requires vendors to register on the Public Works website (http://pw.lacounty.gov/general/contracts/opportunities/) to receive automatic notifications and updates. Key contacts for the procurement are Dwayne Case (626-458-2575) and Jairo Flores (626-458-4069), who are available Monday through Thursday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. to provide additional information. The due date for the solicitation is January 16, 3025, with all contract specifications, forms, and submission instructions available on the county's procurement website.

The County actively encourages participation from local small business enterprises (SBE), disabled veteran business enterprises (DVBE), and social enterprises in this procurement. While specific set-aside percentages are not detailed in the provided documents, the solicitation emphasizes an inclusive approach to vendor selection. The total annual program budget is estimated at $10,000,000, indicating a substantial opportunity for multiple vendors. All companies, including those currently holding expiring contracts with Public Works (set to conclude on December 31, 2021), must submit new qualifications for consideration. The County will use an automatic notification system through their website to communicate updates, and firms are strongly encouraged to register to ensure they receive timely information about the solicitation. The procurement appears designed to create a comprehensive, multi-vendor program for vehicle and equipment repair and towing services that can accommodate the diverse needs of Los Angeles County Public Works.
