About this opportunity

New Milford Board of Education in Connecticut is requesting proposals for design, equipment procurement, and installation of an IP video distribution system for confidence monitoring at New Milford High School, with proposals due October 2, 2026 at 12:00 PM and a mandatory pre-bid site visit on September 23, 2026 at 11:00 AM.

The system must deliver 4K60 capability and route audio and video from any source to any display across six spaces: Band Room, Chorus Room, Electronic Music Room, Woodshop Room, Room 1503, and Theatre Lobby/Hallway. The architecture must be scalable to accommodate future expansion and include touch panel controls designed for non-technical users. The selected bidder must complete design specifications and cost estimates within 30 days of contract award.

Pricing must be itemized by unit and quantity per Appendix D with all contingencies, profit, and administrative fees included. Substitutions for discontinued or backordered items beyond 30 days are not permitted without prior written District approval; brand name and specialty items are not subject to substitution. The District is tax-exempt and will not pay federal, state, or local taxes on purchases.

Awardees must provide three printed copies and one electronic copy on USB drive, submit at least three references from similar-sized clients using the District's reference form, and furnish proof of insurance prior to work commencement: Worker's Compensation at statutory limits with Employer's Liability of $500,000; General Liability of $1,000,000 per occurrence and $2,000,000 aggregate with $1,000,000 umbrella coverage; and Property Damage Insurance of $1,000,000. A one-year warranty covering workmanship and equipment defects is required, with all manufacturer warranties transferring to the Board upon project completion. Proposals remain valid and binding for 90 calendar days from submission. Written questions are due September 25, 2026 at 12:00 PM. The District reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, negotiate terms, and award regardless of cost.
