About this opportunity
UW Medicine Supply Chain is soliciting vendor information on Motor Vehicle Accident and Workers' Compensation billing and collection services for Harborview Medical Center and University of Washington Medical Center in Seattle under RFI 10363, with responses due July 10, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. Pacific Time. This is an exploratory RFI for information and planning purposes only and does not commit UW Medicine to issue an RFP or contract.
Vendors must be registered with Washington's Electronic Business Solution (WEBS) under commodity code 953-92 (Worker's Compensation) or 946-10 (Accounting and Billing Services) to receive further notifications. UW Medicine currently does not work with an outside party for these services but is assessing market capabilities for potential Day 1 outsourcing arrangements or other integration models supporting both hospital and professional claims reimbursement.
The scope requires detailed responses on general supplier information, implementation processes, staffing structure, technology platforms, productivity expectations, resolution rates, AI utilization, and anticipated return on investment. Vendors must provide best-estimated price ranges from lowest to highest and timelines for project completion. Responses must address how vendors support integrated health systems in obtaining reimbursement from MVA and Work Comp payers.
Vendor questions are due June 26, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. Pacific Time and must be submitted using the provided Excel template organized by contract section and category. Oral presentation notifications will be issued on July 27, 2026, with Zoom presentations scheduled August 10–12, 2026. All costs associated with responding to the RFI and any requested presentations are the vendor's responsibility. No contract value, incumbent, or current contract term is specified, as this is a pre-competitive market assessment.
