About this file
This is a Request for Information (RFI) issued by UW Medicine Supply Chain on behalf of Harborview Medical Center (HMC) and University of Washington Medical Center (UWMC) located in Seattle, Washington. The RFI seeks to understand the services and expertise of potential vendor partners who can support obtaining reimbursement from Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA) and Workers' Compensation (Work Comp) payers for both hospital and professional claims. Currently, UW Medicine does not work with an outside party for these services but is interested in learning how vendors support integrated health systems with Day 1 outsourcing arrangements or other models. Suppliers must submit responses by Friday, July 10, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. Pacific Time via email to the RFI Coordinator, Elisha Herd (eherd@uw.edu). Vendor questions are due by Friday, June 26, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. Pacific Time. The tentative schedule includes notifications for oral presentations on July 27, 2026, followed by Zoom presentations scheduled between August 10-12, 2026. This RFI is for information and planning purposes only and does not constitute a commitment to issue a Request for Proposal or to contract for any product or service.
Suppliers must provide a best-estimated price range from lowest to highest estimate for the products or services, along with estimated timelines for project completion. All costs associated with responding to the RFI and any requested presentations are the responsibility of the Supplier. UW Medicine will not pay for information or administrative costs incurred in response. Responses must include general supplier information, project or purchase overviews, and detailed answers to specific questions regarding implementation processes, staffing structure, technology platforms, productivity expectations, resolution rates, AI utilization, and anticipated return on investment. Interested suppliers must be registered with Washington's Electronic Business Solution (WEBS) under commodity codes 953-92 (Worker's Compensation) or 946-10 (Accounting and Billing Services) to receive further notifications. There is no incumbent identified, and no current contract term or renewal options are specified, as this is an exploratory RFI to assess market capabilities before any potential future competitive solicitation.
