About this opportunity
Mapleton City is requesting bids for installation of new ADA ramps and replacement of non-compliant existing ramps, with bids due September 24, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. via hard copy at Mapleton City Offices. This is a federally funded project subject to Davis-Bacon wage requirements, a decision-flipping constraint for bidders not regularly performing prevailing-wage work.
The scope includes installation of new ADA ramps at locations where they are missing, replacement of existing non-compliant ADA ramps, all related concrete work, detectable warning pads, and curb and gutter work. The awardee must also remove and properly dispose of old concrete from existing ramps or waterways. Work must be completed by November 24, 2026.
Bidders must include their UEI number and any subcontractor UEI number in the bid documents; omission of this information will result in bid withdrawal. Questions may be submitted through U3P's Question and Answer portal until September 17, 2026, allowing Mapleton City one week to respond before the bid deadline. No mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled, though the city recommends site visits to each proposed ADA ramp location. Award is anticipated to the lowest cost responsive and responsible bidder under a single contract.
