About this opportunity
The Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) is seeking proposals from qualified vendors to provide a Managed Care Inventory System Solution. This software technology is needed to track and optimize medical supplies for TTUHSC's Managed Care Division, which operates across 23 facilities at 18 geographical sites, including in Travis County and Lubbock City. The current inventory is estimated to be between $150,000 to $250,000 and is managed manually without an inventory management system. The RFP requires the system to support up to 200 par locations with an estimated 500 stock-keeping units (SKUs) at the largest location. TTUHSC is seeking proposals that meet the minimum requirements outlined in Section 5.2 of the RFP, including capabilities such as Kanban, par replenishment, physical inventory counting, and reporting. Proposals are due by March 1, 2024, and TTUHSC anticipates awarding a contract with a term of 3 years, plus two 1-year renewal options. TTUHSC will evaluate proposals based on pricing, experience/reputation, and product/service specifications, and may conduct oral presentations/interviews with selected vendors.
The RFP requires proposers to be current with the State of Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts and to provide a Certificate of Franchise Tax Status. The RFP also indicates that the Texas Risk and Authorization Management Program (TX-RAMP) certification may be required, but the specific level of certification is not specified. Additionally, proposers must submit a HUB Subcontracting Plan. The awarded contract may be subject to review and approval by the Texas Tech University System Board of Regents. The RFP does not specify any set-aside designations or restrictions on the types of organizations that can respond, and it does not list any incumbent vendors or current contractors.
