About this opportunity

The City of Burleson, located in Tarrant County, Texas, is soliciting informal quotes from qualified contractors for hot pour crack sealing services on various city streets. The procurement seeks a contractor to provide labor, equipment, and traffic control for roadway maintenance operations aimed at preserving pavement integrity, extending roadway service life, and reducing water intrusion in asphalt surfaces. Contractors must furnish all necessary equipment including air compressors, routers, melter/applicator units, and traffic control devices, while the City will supply Crafco Superflex crack sealant material. Key deliverables include cleaning and preparing existing pavement cracks, heating and applying sealant material according to manufacturer specifications, ensuring uniform and watertight application, and maintaining proper traffic control and safety measures. Qualified contractors must have personnel trained in hot pour crack sealing procedures and comply with City of Burleson standards, Texas Department of Transportation specifications, and safety regulations. The solicitation was posted on November 13, 2025, with quotes due by December 1, 2025, and all work to be completed by the end of December.

No specific set-aside designations or restrictions for disadvantaged enterprises are mentioned in the procurement documents. Contractors are required to provide proof of insurance and workers compensation coverage, and all responses must be submitted on company letterhead with accompanying specification sheets. While no incumbent vendors are identified, the project involves crack sealing on approximately 48 different street segments with lengths ranging from 245 to 1,140 linear feet and widths between 18 and 38 inches. The procurement contact is Brad Russell, reachable at 817-426-9865 or brussell@burlesontx.com. Contractors will be evaluated based on their ability to provide labor and equipment, with pricing to be submitted exclusively for these services since materials will be supplied by the City.
