IFB #2025-81500-01

The County of Patrick, Virginia is soliciting sealed bids from qualified Virginia licensed contractors to perform renovations on the Uptown Stuart Business Development and Child Care Center. The project generally involves converting the upstairs into a "Cowork Space" and the downstairs into a Child Care Center. The Invitation for Bid (IFB) requires a Class A Virginia licensed contractor to submit a lump sum bid by the deadline of 2:00 p.m. on October 11, 2024. A mandatory pre-bid walkthrough meeting is scheduled for September 18, 2024, and the deadline for pre-bid questions is September 26, 2024. The contract will be awarded to the successful bidder, and the bid must be accompanied by a bid bond. Subcontractors must provide appropriate Virginia state licenses and tradesman cards, and the Town of Stuart requires contractors and subcontractors to possess a business license.

The County of Patrick is an equal opportunity employer and encourages participation from local, minority, and female-owned firms. The County is a drug-free workplace, and the special inspection services will be directly employed and paid for by the owner. The IFB does not provide any details on pricing, set-asides, incumbents, funding sources, or other contractual terms. The construction drawings and specifications suggest this is a substantial renovation project, but no specific award value or budget range is included in the available information.
