About this opportunity
The South Carolina Department of Corrections is requesting bids for farm equipment leasing services to support the agriculture division at Wateree River Correctional Institution under IFB, with bids due August 6, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. ET. The procurement is subject to South Carolina Consolidated Procurement Code requirements and state preferences for in-state vendors and US end products.
The scope comprises eight categories of new 2026 agricultural equipment: two John Deere 6130M cab tractors with loaders (1,200 engine hours annually each), two Frontier WR3210 hay rakes, one S350 mower conditioner, one 410P backhoe loader (1,000 engine hours annually), one 318P skid steer (1,200 engine hours annually), one 317P compact track loader (500 engine hours annually), one F8 500 self-propelled forage harvester (500 engine hours annually), and one 676 rotary harvesting head unit compatible with the forage harvester. All equipment must be new 2026 models or equivalents with full manufacturer-equivalent warranties matching or exceeding OEM standards for the initial term and all renewal periods. Delivery must occur within 30 days of purchase order receipt to Wateree River Correctional Institution in Rembert, South Carolina. Vendors may bid on individual items or the full package; item numbers may be split among multiple vendors.
The initial contract term is one year with two one-year renewal options, providing a maximum three-year period. Pricing must be fixed for the contract duration, with unit prices governing over extended prices. Award will be made to the lowest responsible and responsive bidder based on total bid price.
Bidders must obtain a South Carolina vendor number and submit sealed paper bids only to the SCDC Purchasing Branch. Compliance with all applicable state certifications, including independent price determination, debarment status, drug-free workplace, and ethics requirements, is mandatory. No pre-bid conference or site visit is scheduled. Award notification is scheduled for August 12, 2026.
