About this opportunity
The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services is pursuing a single-source procurement for trade show and exhibit services from Diversified Communications for the Seafood Expo North America. This procurement involves renting booth space for the "Fresh From Florida" pavilion, with a contract term running from execution through June 30, 2026. The primary objective is to market and promote Florida agricultural commodities, value-added products, and agricultural-related businesses as part of the Florida Agricultural Promotional Campaign Act. The procurement will enable the department to reach consumers, agriculture industry members, and educators through active participation in this industry event. The solicitation is being conducted under Sections 120.57(3) and 287.057(3) of Florida Statutes, with a deadline for prospective vendors to provide alternative information set for June 20, 2025. Vendors who believe they can provide comparable commodities or services are invited to submit relevant information to the contact person listed in the advertisement.
This single-source procurement appears to have no specific set-aside designations or restrictions on responding organizations. The estimated contract value is approximately $87,500.00, with a maximum budget of up to $100,000.00. The justification for the single-source acquisition is that Diversified Communications is the sole host of the Seafood Expo North America trade show, which creates a unique procurement scenario. The procurement is specifically for Leon County and will be executed through the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. No incumbent vendors or existing technology integration requirements are explicitly mentioned in the documentation. The procurement is statutorily mandated and follows a fifteen-business day advertisement process, allowing potential vendors an opportunity to demonstrate alternative service capabilities before the department makes a final determination on the single-source procurement.
Opportunity text
THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR BID OR PROPOSAL. THIS IS A STATUTORILY MANDATED FIFTEEN BUSINESS DAY ADVERTISEMENT OF AN INTENDED SINGLE SOURCE PROCUREMENT BY the Florida department of agriculture and consumer services.
SEE ATTACHED DOCUMENTATION FOR DETAILS OF THE PRODUCTS AND SERVICES TO BE PROCURED AND SINGLE SOURCE JUSTIFICATION FOR THE SAME.
Prospective vendors who believe they can provide these commodities or contractual services shall provide relevant information to the contact person listed on this advertisement no later than JUNE 20, 2025.
If it is determined by the Department, after reviewing information received from prospective vendors, that the commodities or contractual services are available only from a single source, the Department will post notice of its intended decision to enter into an agreement with said vendor on the Vendor Information Portal pursuant to Section 120.57(3), Florida Statutes.
