About this opportunity
Chino Preserve Development Corporation is requesting sealed bids for underground irrigation and landscape improvements across Blocks 1, 6, 8, and Van Vliet Streetscapes in the City of Chino, California, with bids due September 23, 2026 (note: source indicates prior electronic bid deadline of September 9, 2026 via PlanetBids at 2:00 p.m., creating a discrepancy — the September 23 date in the header controls). Work must be completed within 90 working days after Notice to Proceed. All bidders were required to conduct site visits; no pre-bid meeting was held. The project involves underground irrigation system installation and landscape improvements located between Chino Corona Road and Legacy Park along Market Street south of Pine Avenue.

Contractors must obtain the City of Chino Encroachment Permit and coordinate material submittals with the City project engineer. Work is subject to California Air Resources Board (CARB) compliance for off-road diesel equipment 25 horsepower or greater, including mandatory renewable diesel fuel procurement (R99/R100) effective January 1, 2024, and Certificates of Reported Compliance. Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) and dust-control compliance are mandatory.
Contract awards will be made to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder based on total Base Bid cost. Bid security of 10 percent of the bid amount is required with a 120 working-day guarantee period. The successful bidder must furnish a Faithful Performance Bond and Labor and Materials Bond each equal to 100 percent of contract amount, plus a Warranty Bond equal to 10 percent of contract amount. The Developer will retain 5 percent of monthly progress payments.
