A mandatory jobsite visit is a prerequisite to bid submission; vendors must contact Shannon Sutton at (225) 634-4420 to schedule inspection and submit Attachment B (Jobsite Verification Form) or a signed agency letter with the bid or face elimination.

The scope covers installation of faux wood blinds (Caco or equal, 2-inch, white) across approximately 147 windows in varying sizes — including six windows in the Day Room (approximately 80" × 65"), four windows (approximately 39" × 63"), six in the Main Dining Room (approximately 82" × 62"), six in Unit 1 Dining Room (approximately 76" × 79"), and 125 in resident rooms (approximately 49" × 54" each). The contractor furnishes all labor, materials, tools, equipment, supervision, and waste disposal; coordinates with nursing staff; and must take precautions to keep materials away from residents, with potential after-hours scheduling for the memory care wing.

The bid base is a lump-sum amount of $35,715 for NIGP 30222500 (Blinds & Tint), with pricing firm for 30 days and delivery F.O.B. destination. Written inquiries are due October 14, 2026; responses are due October 21. Bid opening is October 28, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. Central Time at the Office of State Procurement in Baton Rouge. Upon award, the contractor must execute a Performance Bond and Labor and Materials Payment Bond each at 100% of the contract amount. Liquidated damages are $100 per day for delays beyond the completion date.
