About this opportunity
The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) is seeking proposals for its Annual Occupational Medical Monitoring Program. The purpose of this contract is to ensure TCEQ meets federal requirements to provide medical surveillance to certain employees regularly exposed to hazardous substances. TCEQ is soliciting centrally located medical facilities to perform annual medical examinations at multiple regional locations across Texas. The required medical examinations must include a physician/nurse practitioner exam, spirometry, chest X-ray, electrocardiogram, urinalysis, blood work, audiogram, and vision/color/depth perception screening. Contractors must provide follow-up visits, written reviews, and maintain a central record system. Responses will be evaluated on qualifications, key personnel, technical approach, and pricing. The proposal deadline is September 4, 2024 at 3:00 PM Central Time, and a pre-proposal conference will be held on August 5, 2024.
TCEQ anticipates making multiple contract awards with an initial one-year term and up to four one-year renewal options. The total contract value may be increased up to 200% to accommodate unforeseen circumstances. TCEQ has not identified any subcontracting opportunities for this solicitation, and a Historically Underutilized Business (HUB) Subcontracting Plan is not required. However, if subcontracting is deemed necessary, respondents must notify TCEQ and obtain prior written approval. There is an incumbent contractor for the current program, but the solicitation does not provide any details on award values or budget ranges.
