About this opportunity

The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command intends to solicit a single source under FAR 6.302-1 authority for a check valve (NSN 1H-4820-014506207-X3, TDP VER 010) with a response deadline of June 29, 2026. The procurement is not set-aside and carries a sole-source posture based on unique design capability and engineering knowledge retained by the approved source.

Delivery locations are DLA Distribution at New Cumberland, Pennsylvania and DLA Distribution San Joaquin at Tracy, California. The requirement specifies 13 units.

The part requires engineering source approval by the design control activity to maintain quality. The qualified source retains manufacturing and repair knowledge, technical data, and design capability that are not economically available to the Government and are essential to sustaining part quality. An alternate source must qualify under the design control activity's procedures, subject to Government engineering activity approval.

Although the Navy states intent to negotiate with only one source, this notice invites all responsible sources to identify their interest and capability or submit proposals, quotations, or capability statements. Proposals received within 45 days of publication (or 30 days if award is issued under an existing Basic Ordering Agreement) will be considered. The Government retains discretion to determine whether to conduct a competitive procurement based on responses received. Award will be made only if the offeror and product meet specified qualification requirements.
