A solicitation will be issued to provide the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) with an as-needed mechanism to obtain Armed Security Guard Services to be performed for CDC in various locations throughout the United States, predominately in Atlanta, GA and Fort Collins, CO.
CDC intends to issue a single award as a result of solicitation 75D301-19-R-67830. It is anticipated that the resulting contracts will be for a one month transition period, an eleven (11) month base and four (4) one year options, Firm Fixed Price contract. Request for Proposal (RFP), 75D301-19-R-67830, will be posted on www.fbo.gov on or about November 16, 2018. Any amendments issued to the solicitation will also be made at the same website. This is set-aside as an 8(a) competitive requirement and as such is limited to eligible 8(a) concerns. The NAICS Codes for this proposed procurement are 561612 (Security Guards and Patrol Services). All responsible 8(a)sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by the agency. Eligibility to participate is available to both 8(a) firms in the developmental and transitional stages. The FAR encourages interested 8(a) firms to request a copy of the solicitation since the solicitation will be issued without further notice upon SBA acceptance of the requirement into the 8(a) program, however the solicitation will be available to everyone and should be acquired from www.fbo.gov once it is posted .
The scheduled solicitation due date will be approximately forty-five (45) days after the posting of the solicitation.
