About this opportunity

The United States Coast Guard has issued a Request for Information (RFI) seeking transportation service providers for village site visits in western Alaska. The RFI targets vendors capable of providing round-trip transportation for up to four people to approximately 40 remote villages in the region. Specifically, the Coast Guard requires transportation services that support their inspection and fieldwork operations in these isolated areas. All transportation will originate from Bethel, Alaska, with multiple potential performance periods planned for 2025. The RFI is purely a market research and planning exercise to identify potential qualified transportation providers.

Contractors interested in responding must submit detailed information about their transportation capabilities by February 4, 2025, via email to Johnathan.L.maro@uscg.mil. The RFI requests specific details including transportation vehicle types, ability to handle remote landings, availability during specified periods (May, July, and August 2025), onsite waiting policies, and comprehensive pricing structures. Respondents must provide information on their safety certifications, compliance with federal regulations, and experience operating in remote Alaskan regions. While no set-aside is specified, contractors must include their CAGE code, UEI, and small business category if applicable. The Coast Guard emphasizes that this RFI does not constitute a solicitation or guarantee of contract award, and respondents will not be reimbursed for costs associated with preparing their response.
