About this opportunity

The U.S. Coast Guard is soliciting bids for replacement of front and back doors and glass walls at Building 24/26 Barracks on Base Alameda. The procurement involves removing and replacing two 2-story storefront door assemblies with new frames and single-pane glass due to the existing doors being deemed unsafe and unreparable. Offerors must submit a comprehensive technical approach addressing all Statement of Work tasks and a detailed pricing breakdown via email, with responses due by January 29, 2026. The contract will be awarded to the responsible offeror submitting the lowest-priced, technically acceptable offer. Key requirements include mandatory attendance at a site visit by a representative of the prime contractor or subcontractor, with failure to attend potentially affecting the agency's determination of the contractor's responsibility and capability to meet contract requirements. Offerors must be registered on SAM.gov and comply with facility access protocols, which include security requirements and verification of citizenship or immigration status for all contractor employees.

This is a total small business set-aside contract in the Finish Carpentry Contractors NAICS category (238350) with an estimated project value between $25,000 and $100,000. Work must commence within 15 business days of contract award and be completed within 90 calendar days. No incumbent contractor is identified in the solicitation documents. The contract location is Alameda, California, with work hours restricted to 7:00 AM through 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays. The Coast Guard will provide temporary support by removing and reinstalling building awnings and supplying on-site potable water and electrical power at no cost to the contractor. Joshua Alton, CWO2, USCG, serves as the primary point of contact for monitoring and accepting completed work.
