THIS IS AN INVITATION FOR BID (IFB). This will be 100% set-aside for a Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone) certified business.
Work consists of furnishing all labor, supplies, materials, supervision, transportation, and equipment required to install complete fire detection and suppression systems in building 2064 (the Nellis AFB air traffic control tower). Work required includes construction of a wet-pipe fire suppression system for complete coverage throughout the facility. The existing fire alarm and detection system will be demolished and replaced with a combination fire alarm and mass notification system. That system will consist of a fire alarm control panel, mass notification cabinet, annunciator panel, detection and notification appliances, controls and relays. Local operating consoles will be provided on each of the facility's 11 floors for fire fighter communication. This project is located on Nellis AFB, Nevada. The estimated performance period is 270 calendar days. The construction magnitude for this project is estimated between $1,000,000 to $5,000,000.
Atached is a detailed Statement of Work and drawings for review at no cost to potential offerors.
The date for bid opening will be on or about 27 June 2016. Considering the tentative bid opening date and period of performance, completion date for this project is on or about 23 Janurary 2017.
This notice does not obligate the government to award a contract or pay for any bid preparation costs.
