SOLICITATION NOTICE:
The purpose of this contract is to provide Vehicle Maintenance Services for Det 1, 823 RED HORSE Squadron (RHS). All personnel, supervision, and services necessary to ensure vehicle maintenance, vehicle fleet management, and vehicle operation functions shall be performed for the RHS vehicle fleet. In addition, management and administrative functions for maintaining the special/general purpose vehicle fleet, weapon systems fleet, organizational equipment, shop equipment, and vehicle maintenance buildings shall be performed. Finally, services dedicated to providing a safe and serviceable vehicle fleet that is critical to the success of the Silver Flag Exercise training site shall be provided.
The duration of this contract is expected to be for a twelve (12) month base period and four twelve (12) month option periods.
This solicitation will be for a commercial service prepared in accordance with the format in the Federal Acquisition Requirements (FAR) Subpart 12.6 & 13.5.
The solicitation will result in a firm, fixed price contract The successful contractor will be selected using lowest price technically acceptable (LPTA) source selection procedures in accordance with FAR 15.101-2, resulting in the best value for the Government.
The government intends to hold a site visit on 23 August 2016, 0900-1200 CST. Potential offerors are limited to two (2) people per contractor. See page 51 of solicitation, section M.
The applicable NAICS Code and size standard for this acquisition are 811111 and $7M. This acquisition will be a competitive total small business set-aside. To be eligible for contract award offerors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM). Registration is accomplished via the SAM website at https://www.sam.gov/portal/SAM.

PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE: This is NOT a request for proposal. This is a synopsis for a competitive, total small business set-aside for a service acquisition as required by FAR Part 5.2. Vendors shall NOT submit proposals until after the Final Solicitation is posted to this website.
The 325th Contracting Squadron, Tyndall AFB, FL, announces the anticipated release of the REDHORSE Vehicle Maintenance solicitation to be on 1 July, 2016.

Potential offerors are responsible for monitoring this site for the release of this solicitation package. Interested parties should register on-line and subscribe to receiving procurement announcements related to this solicitation.
