4/5/2019: A NEW DATE AND TIME HAS BEEN SET FOR RECEIPT OF PROPOSALS. Funds have been received for this project. Proposals are due to the Contracting Officer no later than Friday April 12, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. Alaska Standard Time. Proposals shall be delivered to one of the following addresses:

3/27/2019: This update makes one correction to the project drawings and extends the due date and time for proposals indefinitely.
Sheet 7 of the drawings is corrected as follows - Section A, "SEE TRAIL LOG FOR WIDTH" is deleted and replaced with "28" MIN WIDTH." Amendment #2 with a corrected sheet 7 will be posted in a subsequent update.
The due date and time for submission of proposals is extended indefinitely. Funding for this project has not yet been received. Once project funds have been received, a new date and time for receipt of proposals will be provided.

The Raven Trail begins approximately one mile SE of the Petersburg airport near Sandy Beach Park. Project work beigns approximately one mile up the trail at Lat/Long 56-47-30.5 N, 132-55-36 W adn continues to the ridgetop.
A project trail log is being posted with this notice so that interested parties may inspect the work site before winter and before a large snowfall prevents access. Prospective offerors may visit the work site at their leisure. No escort or notice is required.

Answers from Pre-proposal Meeting:
Reference Trail Log. Why is there a station 8175 and 8175a? To correct a field error where two stakes were number 8175.
Are mats required to stop fly rock during blasting? Not required in specifications.
Special Project Specifications 913.06 is incorrect and will be removed by solicitation amendment.
Has anyone measured the height of the trees? Helicopter insertion will be challenging with slide slope. No the trees haven't been measured..

452.237-71 Pre-Proposal Conference (FEB (1988)
a. The Government is planning a pre-proposal conference call, during which potential offerors may obtain a better understanding of the work required.
b. Offerors are encouraged to submit all questions in writing at least five (5) days prior to the conference. Questions will be considered at any time prior to or during the conference; however, offerors will be asked to confirm verbal questions in writing. Subsequent to the conference, an amendment to the solicitation containing an
abstract of the questions and answers, and a list of attendees, will be disseminated.
c. In order to facilitate conference preparations, it is requested that the person named on the Standard Form 1442 of this solicitation be contacted and advised of the number of persons who will attend.
d. The Government assumes no responsibility for any expense incurred by an offeror prior to contract award.
e. Offerors are cautioned that, notwithstanding any remarks or clarifications given at the conference, all terms and conditions of the solicitation remain unchanged unless they are changed by amendment to the solicitation. If the answers to conference questions, or any solicitation amendment, create ambiguities, it is the responsibility of
the offeror to seek clarification prior to submitting an offer.
