Mandatory specifications include a milling spindle speed of at least 60,000 RPM for processing structures down to 100 micrometers, mechanical resolution of minimum 0.47 micrometers (0.02 mil) in X/Y axes and 0.2 micrometers in Z axis, and repeatability tolerance of ±5 micrometers. The system must feature a fully automatic tool changer holding a minimum of 15 tools, sensor-controlled automatic milling depth and width adjustment, an integrated camera system for automatic optical fiducial recognition and board alignment, a maximum working area of 305 mm x 229 mm x 8 mm, and a heavy granite or equivalent vibration-dampening base with integrated vacuum table workholding. Integrated CAM software equivalent to LPKF CircuitPro Basic with standard CAD importing, material parameter library management, and pneumatic self-cleaning functionality on the spindle and milling depth sensor are required. The system must support capability to include or accept a solder paste dispensing unit.
