The Defense Logistics Agency intends to issue a solicitation seeking a national requirements contract to supply potassium chloride extended release tablets in bottle counts of 100 and 500 for 10MEQ and 20MEQ dosages. The contract would have a one-year base period and four one-year option periods, utilize firm-fixed pricing, and establish a supply source for the Department of Defense, Bureau of Prisons, Indian Health Service, and Department of Veterans Affairs via prime vendor programs. Place of performance will be nationwide to support customer agencies across the United States.

The Defense Logistics Agency is planning to issue a solicitation for a national requirements contract for Potassium Chloride ER Tabs 10MEQ and 20 MEQ in bottle counts of 100 and 500. Procurement details follow.

This will be an unrestricted and fully competitive acquisition. The contract will be a firm-fixed price, requirements type contract with a one-year base and four one year options. A contract resulting from this solicitation will establish a national supply source, in accordance with FAR 52.216-21 (Requirements), to provide the items listed in the schedule for purchase by Department of Defense, Bureau of Prisons, Indian Health Service and Department of Veterans Affairs customers through the DLA and VA prime vendor programs. The annual usage estimates will be provided in the Schedule of Supplies section of the solicitation. This is a commercial item and will be solicited using FAR part 12. All sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency.
