About this opportunity
The Army Research Laboratory requires an atomic layer deposition system with a unique design and add-on features critical for diamond surface electronics research. The system must maintain very low contamination levels in the process chamber. The Army Contracting Command at Aberdeen Proving Ground intends to sole source this procurement from Kurt J. Lesker Company, as their system offers the required capabilities. Interested parties could submit proposals by August 11, 2022, but the Government stated its intent to only negotiate with Kurt J. Lesker Company. Delivery of the sole sourced system is estimated between 40 to 52 weeks after award.
There is no set-aside designation for this procurement. The NAICS code is 339112 and the PSC code is 66. Kurt J. Lesker Company is identified as the potential incumbent due to manufacturing the only known system meeting requirements. The estimated delivery timeline after award is 40 to 52 weeks.
