THE SOLICITATION NUMBER FOR THIS PROJECT IS: 6982AF18B000026 NOT 698219B000026. PLEASE REFER TO THE CORRECT SOLICITATION NUMBER ON ALL CORRESPONDENCE.
This project is located to the east of Las Cruces, New Mexico in Doña Ana County on Soledad Canyon Road. The project begins at the intersection of Dripping Springs Road and continues to Organ Mountains - Desert Peaks National Monument. This is a desert environment located over a mile above sea level.
The intent of this project is to improve access to the Organ Mountains - Desert Peaks National Monument for vehicles, pedestrians, and cyclists. The proposed project improvements will enhance Federal Lands, visitor access, improve multi-modal use, and improve drainage and sediment control. These improvements include roadway widening and resurfacing, introduction of a multi-use path, drainage improvements (arroyo improvements), parking lot improvements, signing, and new pavement markings.
This project consists of Schedule A, Schedule B and Option Y. Schedule A and Schedule B begins at Dripping Springs Road and stops at the Organ Mountains - Desert Peaks National Monument boundary. Option Y continues from the end of Schedule A (or Schedule B) to and including the National Monument's parking lot.
