About this opportunity
NASA's National Aeronautics and Space Administration Shared Services Center seeks procurement of high-resonant frequency shock accelerometer instrumentation, with capability statements due July 17, 2026. This is an 8(a) sole source procurement; the Government intends to award to KISTLER INSTRUMENT CORPORATION under FAR 12.102(a) as the sole identified provider, but will evaluate unsolicited capability submissions to determine whether to conduct the procurement on a competitive basis.
Place of performance is NASA Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC) in Huntsville, Alabama. The procurement covers four contract line items: 15 Quartz Accelerometers (Kistler 8044 or equivalent) rated to 20,000g with nominal resonance frequency of at least 80 kHz and operational temperature range -195 to 200°C, due within 7 weeks; 15 In-Line Charge Converter Modules (Kistler 5050B0.5 or equivalent) producing 5–20 Volts peak-to-peak output with operational temperature -54 to 100°C and maximum 20-second warm-up time, due within 7 weeks; 25 High-Insulating Cable Extensions (Kistler 1635C5 or equivalent) with 5-meter minimum length and operational temperature -55 to 200°C, due within 3 weeks; and shipping and handling to MSFC Central Receiving, Huntsville, Alabama, concurrent with each delivery. All deliverables require Kistler-specification calibration certificates, onsite manufacturing and calibration, quality inspections, and one-year warranty against defects in materials and workmanship.
