The Mid-Pacific Region of the Bureau of Reclamation intends to issue a Solicitation for a firm fixed-price contract for the Keswick Fish Trap Brail Replacement. This procurement is a Total Small Business Set-Aside and will be an Invitation for Bid (IFB) using FAR Part 14 Sealed Bidding procedures. The work to be performed is described below. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 237990 and the related small business size standard is $36.5M. This notice is not a request for proposal and the information presented in this announcement will not obligate the Bureau of Reclamation in any manner. The estimated cost of this project is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00. This procurement will require a bid guarantee and 100% performance and payment bonds. Work is located 4 miles northwest of Redding, CA in Shasta County, at Keswick Dam.
Solicitation R15PS00748 will be posted electronically via www.fedbizopps.gov and www.fedconnect.net on or about May 19, 2015. The date for receipt of bids will be approximately June 22, 2015. The solicitation must be downloaded at the above website; no paper copy of this solicitation will be distributed.
Prospective contractors MUST be actively registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database at http://www.sam.gov to be eligible for award.
PRINCIPAL COMPONENTS OF WORK:
A. Furnish and install a new fish brail frame and fiberglass grates.
B. Remove and Dispose existing fish brail
C. Furnish and install new hoist equipment for fish brail hoist, including wire ropes, sheaves, sheave brackets and associated equipment.
D. Remove, inspect, and report condition of motor and gearbox. Replace bearings. Reinstall motor and gearbox.
