About this opportunity
NASA's Shared Services Center issued a sole-source presolicitation for FDRF Camera Systems Upgrade at NASA Langley Research Center with a capability statement submission deadline of August 11, 2026 at 7:00 a.m. Central Time. The agency intends to award exclusively to iSoft Solutions, LLC under FAR 12.102(a) commercial item procedures, treating the requirement as commercial services; however, NASA retains discretion to proceed competitively based on submitted responses.
The upgrade replaces five existing Panasonic cameras at the Flight Dynamics Research Facility with two 4K60 compact cameras, two UHD 4K60 PTZ cameras, and one 4K professional camcorder, all integrating with retained Government-Furnished Equipment including Blackmagic recorders and monitors. Work includes new 12G-SDI cabling, control cabling with RS-232 adapters, equalizers/extenders, a PTZ joystick controller, camera programming and configuration, system testing, operator training, and delivery of removed equipment. Performance occurs at Building 2105, 20 Langley Boulevard, Hampton, Virginia, with a two-month completion timeline following award and four-week material lead time.
Interested organizations must submit written capabilities and qualifications to Shanna L. Patterson (Shanna.L.Patterson@nasa.gov), Procurement Specialist. Oral communications are not acceptable. NASA's sole-source justification cites iSoft Solutions' unique capability to select and install equipment compatible with the facility's custom test rig infrastructure and existing equipment; alternative vendors would compromise integration with Government-Furnished Equipment and test model fidelity.
