About this opportunity

The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command, through the NAVSUP FLC Norfolk Contracting Department, is seeking to award a sole source contract for Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) system maintenance services to Eaton Corporation. The procurement is being conducted under Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii)(A), which allows for a sole source award when only one responsible source can satisfy agency requirements. The contract will be awarded to Eaton Corporation, located in Raleigh, NC, based on their unique capabilities in providing UPS maintenance services. While this is not a competitive solicitation, the contracting office will consider quotes, proposals, or bids from all responsible sources. Interested parties are advised to direct any questions to Inga Love, Contract Specialist, via email at inga.f.love.civ@us.navy.mil by January 17, 2025.

The procurement does not have a specific set-aside designation and falls under the NAICS category 811490 for Other Personal and Household Goods Repair and Maintenance, with a Product Service Code (PSC) of J030 for Mechanical Power Transmission Equipment Maintenance/Repair/Rebuild. The sole source justification document suggests that Eaton Corporation is the only vendor capable of providing the required UPS system maintenance services, though specific details about the contract's total value or exact service timeline are not explicitly stated in the pre-solicitation notice. The contract appears to be targeted specifically at maintaining the Navy's existing UPS systems, with Eaton Corporation being identified as the original equipment manufacturer and most qualified service provider. The procurement is scheduled to be initiated on January 10, 2025, with potential responses or inquiries due by January 17, 2025.
