The National Building Museum in Washington DC has functional issues with the dedicated chiller for the galleries. This misapplication has caused compressor failure to one of the two compressors on the chiller. Replacing the defective compressor is very expensive and will not resolve the incorrect application issue. It should also be noted that the second compressor will not operate under these conditions much longer and will eventually fail as well. The objective of this project is to replace the existing chiller with tube and shell type heat exchangers which is more suitable for the design application of the building. The work will consist of furnishing all labor, equipment, transportation, and materials necessary to perform all work in strict accordance with the specifications, schedules, drawings, and other contract documents.
The contract issued will be Firm Fixed Price.
