About this opportunity

The United States Coast Guard (USCG) Aviation Logistics Center (ALC) has issued a Special Notice announcing its intent to award a sole source Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) call to Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation for bearing assemblies. The procurement involves 16 bearing assemblies (NSN 1615-01-HS1-4255, Part Number 70102-28000-059) specifically for MH-60T aircraft operations. The USCG justifies this sole source approach under FAR 13.106-1(b)(1), stating that these items are available only from the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation (CAGE Code 78286). The procurement falls under NAICS code 336413 (Other Aircraft Parts and Auxiliary Equipment Manufacturing) with a size standard of 1,250 employees. The solicitation number 70Z03825QJ0000272 has been assigned for tracking purposes, though no formal solicitation package will be issued.

The purpose of this Special Notice is to inform the market of the USCG's intent to procure critical helicopter components while providing an opportunity for other responsible sources to submit alternative quotations. Interested parties must submit quotations to Julie.G.Lininger@uscg.mil and mrr-procurement@uscg.mil with the solicitation number in the subject line by 2:00 PM EDT on June 16, 2025. The procurement is unrestricted with no small business set-aside, and delivery is requested within 400 days after receipt of order, though early shipments are encouraged at no additional cost to the government. The F.O.B. point is origin, with inspection and acceptance to be performed by the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA). Award determination will be based on fair and reasonable pricing, and the government retains sole discretion in deciding whether to compete the procurement based on responses received to this notice.
