About this opportunity
The Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H), a component of the Department of Health and Human Services National Institutes of Health, issued a Special Notice regarding the PROactive Solutions for Prolonging Resilience (PROSPR) Program. The notice initially announced a Proposers' Day event scheduled for January 24, 2025, which was subsequently cancelled. The PROSPR Program is focused on developing interventions to extend human healthspan by 20 years through targeted research addressing age-induced health loss. The opportunity was originally planned as a hybrid event with both in-person and virtual attendance options in Dallas, Texas. The Special Notice was posted on December 19, 2024, with an original registration deadline of January 21, 2025.
The PROSPR Program encompasses three primary technical areas: developing an intrinsic capacity score to predict 20-year health outcomes, repurposing FDA-approved drugs for healthspan extension through decentralized clinical trials, and advancing innovative interventions with preclinical evidence to enhance healthspan. Although the Proposers' Day event was cancelled, ARPA-H still anticipated releasing a draft Innovative Solutions Opening (ISO) in December 2024 and a final ISO in January 2025. Potential contractors were invited to submit teaming profiles through the PROSPR website to facilitate partnership opportunities, describing their technical competencies and desired collaborations. The event was originally planned to be closed to the general public and media, with lightning talks limited to 4 minutes per potential performer. Interested parties were directed to register through https://solutions.arpa-h.gov/PROSPR/ and could submit questions to PROSPR@arpa-h.gov, though response times were not guaranteed.
