About this opportunity
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Network Contracting Office 08 (NCO 08) is seeking to procure Batteries for the current ASCO standby power generation system at the C.W. Bill Young Veterans' Hospital in Bay Pines, Florida. The VA intends to negotiate a Firm Fixed Price Purchase Order with the only known source, Alcad. Any business that believes it can provide the required Batteries may submit a written notice to the Point of Contact, Peter A. Hernandez, by 10:00 AM EST on September 27, 2024. All responsible sources may submit a quotation, which will be considered by the agency. The government will make a determination on whether to compete the proposed acquisition based on the responses received.
This procurement is not set-aside for any specific business size or socioeconomic category. The VA has determined that Alcad is the sole manufacturer of the required batteries, and market research did not identify any Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSBs) or Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (VOSBs) capable of meeting the technical requirements. The total estimated value of the procurement is under $250,000, and the VA plans to procure 96 Alcad Type MC110P batteries.
