About this opportunity
The Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office 22 is conducting market research for a video security surveillance system at the Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System. The solicitation targets vendors in the Audio and Video Equipment Manufacturing sector, specifically seeking Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) authorized dealers, distributors, or resellers. Interested vendors must submit a capabilities statement demonstrating compliance with the draft Statement of Work requirements, including specific technical certifications such as Avigilon technician certification, Cambium Networks certification, and R-56 certification. The market research aims to understand industry capabilities and potential sources for supplying and installing video surveillance equipment across 10 buildings. The response deadline is set for March 17, 2025, at 7:00 am Pacific Time, with all inquiries to be submitted via email to Anthony.delacruz@va.gov.
The procurement does not currently have a specific set-aside designation, but may consider reserving the contract for Veteran-owned or small businesses if two or more qualified sources are identified. The project involves installing between 4-20 cameras per building location, utilizing specific brand-name equipment like Avigilon cameras and Cambium Networks switches. Work is to be performed between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays, with a focus on enhancing the Public Safety Integrated Network (PSIN) for VA police and emergency management services. The scope covers a 22,000 square mile area and aims to improve safety for veterans, staff, and the public. While no specific award value is mentioned, the comprehensive nature of the surveillance system upgrade suggests a significant investment in security infrastructure.
