About this file
This document is an amendment to a solicitation for repair work on gate cylinders at Thomaston Dam. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Engineering District New England is seeking offers to repair gate cylinders at Thomaston Dam in Thomaston, Connecticut. Site visit sign-in sheets and responses to questions from potential offerors are provided. Questions covered operating pressures and flows for the hydraulic system, speed of gate extension and retraction, whether cylinders were installed before or after dam construction, ceiling height in the gate chamber, and identification of a control valve. The amendment identifies the relevant parties and provides additional details to inform offeror preparation without substantially changing any other terms of the solicitation.
