During this rebuilding period, additional mechanical system components will become operational and it is the intent of the government to have a complete and operational HVAC system by the contract completion date.

A profile gage or comparison chart shall be used to make the determination. In the event of a surface is not acceptable it shall be brought immediately to the government’s attention for confirmation and documentation.

Each piece of the compressor and motor shall be individually cleaned, inspected and documented if any rust, corrosion or surface damage is found.

Contractor shall remove all seals and O-rings.

Each component of the Compressor and Motor shall then be checked dimensionally to validate that the component is compliant with the original manufacture’s specifications.

All documentation of the dimensions shall be entered on a set of the Original Manufactures drawings noting any deficiencies, or defects. One set of drawings shall be submitted for each chiller.

The Contractor shall replace the refrigerant and purge filters.

The contractor shall then use the New Original Equipment Manufacture’s (OEM) government supplied parts and rebuild both the compressor and motor for each chiller in a sequential manner as approved and found in the OEM Repair manuals.

The Contractor shall document final clearances for the first and second stage rotors.

The Contractor shall provide any incidental lubricants as needed.

The Contractor shall correct any refrigerant piping defects, leaks or seals.

The Contractor shall perform a vacuum test validating that the repairs to the Refrigerant piping is complete.
