Otis ANG – Questions on B168/DGS
17. It was stated the V5 firmware is 3.2, but can I get the release? It should be Rel 16 or Rel 20 since the newest Release (Rel) is 23, which all the V5's in B168 would need to be updated to.
a. Currently Rel 20
18. Is the BDOC Master IDS V5 3.2 Rel 23?
a. No. BDOC only has monitor privileges and the SSO is the master.
19. How many ACS and IDS V5's are located in B168?
a. There is (1) IDS V5 and (3) ACS V5s
20. How many VSC are located in B168?
a. There is only (1) VSC
21. The SOW states to remove or modify the crash-bar on the SCIF door, doing that could alter the fire and life safety requirements. Was this cleared through the fire department? Adding a card reader on the exit side is not an issue, we would just need to add a MR-50 and connect it to the other card reader on the entrance side of the SCIF door.
a. This is an area where we are looking for a professional opinion. We might not need to replace the crash-bar, but we also don’t want people to not badge out of the facility. We want to make people have to badge out and not just use the crash-bar to exit under normal conditions.
22. The SOW states to add ACS to the door between the buildings, is there a conduit pathway that exists or would we need add a pathway to the closest ACS V5? If so what is the distance from this door to the closest V5 and would a maglock be acceptable as an electronic lock?
a. No conduit exists at the moment. The closest V5 is approx. 40-50’ away. This door is not part of the SCIF, so we aren’t restricted by regulations as to what type of lock is used.
Just to be clear though, it is an exterior door.
